The design of the barrel lamp was inspired by the searchlights of WWI.
This baby barrel was designed in 2011 by Nieuwe Heren
You can buy it here here.

DDW

Thrilling ideas, mind-blowing experiments and extraordinary collaborations.
There is more, much more to Dutch design than meets the eye.
Which is exactly what you'll experience during Dutch Design Week 2012.

Glass Beach

I want to go there!
What a beautiful place this Glass Beach formerly know as The Dumps.
Rubbish dump becomes a protected area.
Ironically, where it had once been illegal to dump glass, now it's illegal to remove it!
And again nature is cleaning up the mess we've made.

Snow Art

Great snow drawings at Rabbit Ears Pass by artist Sonja Hinrichsen.
This drawing was trampled, with the help of 5 volunteers, into freshly fallen snow.
Obvious message!
Last sunday we almost broke the record for the hottest temperature since 1947 :-)
