Amsterdam - Vivian Hann

This is my favourite shop in Amsterdam...........Vivian Hann.
Among lots of other things Vivian sells products from Mara Skujeniece, Eva Gevaert, de Intuïtiefabriek, Mud and Jars.
Besides it's a real treat visiting Vivian's beautiful store, it's also a joy and very inspiring to talk to her.

Maggie's Centre

Maggie's is a cancer daycare centre in Dundee Scotland.

Maggie Keswick Kencks, who died of breast cancer in 1995, pioneered the setting up of several cancer caring centres in the UK. The philosophy behind Maggie's Centres is that your immediate environment affects your well-being.

Frank Gehry did a magnificient job designing this building.

During the design process Gehry built over 70 models before he finally settled for two key elements: the tower, inspired by lighthouses, and the asymmetrically folded roof, based on a shawl worn by a woman in a Vermeer portrait he had seen with Maggie, for the main body of the building.

I love it!
