Spoon Preserve

Designed by Hanae Shimizu
While a lot of people are starving other people are overweight and a lot of these are obese.
Hanae designed 3 different spoons that encourage eating less.
I think it's a beautiful design and I would like to have this spoon in my bag :-)

I love light, neutral and black & white interiors with natural wood.

I wasn't interested in glass objects very much until I've seen the work from:

Portemanteau

This solid oak portemanteau (coat rack) has been designed by Marina Bautier in 2006.
I love the simple shape and the fact the hooks don't cover the whole length.
Your mail can be slid behind your jackets and scarves.
You can order the portemanteau online.
Look at the kenderfrau blog for my portemanteau.
I think it looks beautiful in our house.

Windows are very important to a house.
Besides the fact they give you light and a view to the outside world they also enhance your house.
The shadows and light reflections inside your house are an added bonus and they make it more interesting.
Over the years my walls are getting emptier :-)

Pinch of Salt

Packaging has always been very important to me.
Even as a child I selected my books by its cover :-)

These salt eggs were designed by Eduardo del Fraile.
The colour of each egg relates to its flavour.
It wil be difficult to choose from.

Råman house

The Råman house was an old and abandoned school building.
The rehabilitation of this house is done by Claesson Koivisto Rune.
I love the simplicity of this Scandinavian interior.

Birdie

Recently I bought this Birdie paper knife.
A tool used to open envelopes but have you written any letters lately?
It's designed by Yohei Oki, hoping to trigger this old-fashioned "analog" communication.
